Objectives

The Trustees are required to act in accordance with the objectives of the Foundation’s rules set out on its Statutory Scheme. The following are extracts from the Scheme.

To make grants towards the following bodies or individuals for the purposes stated below.

Grants to schools:

  • to enable the Managers or Governors of any Voluntary Aided or Special Agreement school in the former Metropolitan Borough of Fulham [now circumscribed by the geographic area of the SW6 post code], in which religious instruction is given in accordance with the doctrines of the Church of England, to comply with their obligations under the Education Acts, 1996 to 2011, and the regulations made thereunder.

Other educational benefits:

  • the award of exhibitions tenable at any secondary school, training college for teachers, university or other institution of further education, including professional and technical education
  • providing financial assistance, outfits, clothing, tools, instruments or books to enable beneficiaries on leaving school, university or any other educational establishment to prepare for or assist their entry into a profession, trade or calling
  • otherwise to promoting the education (including social and physical training) of beneficiaries.

Individuals benefitting from any grants made by the Foundation must be under the age of twenty-five and should, or whose parents should, be resident in the Metropolitan Borough of Fulham, or be in attendance at any school in the said Metropolitan Borough, and who, in the opinion of the trustees, are in need of financial assistance.
